Thalapathy Vijay starrer much-anticipated film Jana Nayagan is officially set to release on January 9, 2026, just ahead of Makar Sankranti and Pongal. Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, this film marks Vijay’s final cinematic appearance, making it one of the most awaited films of the year.

With massive expectations and a global release planned by Phars Film, the film is poised for a strong performance.

The first-look poster, featuring Vijay taking a selfie with a massive crowd, has already generated a huge response online. The title Jana Nayagan translates to “The People’s Leader”, reflecting Vijay’s strong fan base and his impact beyond cinema. KVN Productions has been strategically planning the film’s release to ensure it reaches a global audience, with screenings planned in key markets like the United States, the Middle East, Australia, and Europe. Also starring Bobby Deol in a lead role, the film will have Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, Monisha Blessy and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in key roles as well. With the countdown officially on, January 9, 2026, will be a key date for cinema fans worldwide as Thalapathy Vijay’s final film prepares for a massive theatrical release.
