For those who know Tamil star Vishal Krishna—and this writer has known him for years as an affable, soft-spoken, kind-hearted man—news of his recent collapse at a transgender community event in Villupuram came as a shock.

On Wednesday evening, Vishal personally reached out to clarify the situation and dismiss the alarm. “First of all, it was wrongly reported that it happened on stage. Secondly, I am totally fine, Sir. I was mobbed by the transgenders, and I hadn’t eaten anything since morning. I had travelled five hours for the event. When I had to leave, they all gathered around me, crowding me. I couldn’t breathe—so much dust, so many people. I just couldn’t take it.”

This incident marks Vishal Krishna’s second public health scare in 2025. Earlier in January, he caused concern among fans when he appeared visibly unwell at a movie event.

At the time, Vishal clarified, “I am absolutely fine. The media just blew it out of proportion. I had severe viral fever, and the doctor advised me not to attend the event. But I couldn’t miss it—it was long delayed, and for me, the love of my fans means the world.”

Despite recent health episodes, Vishal Krishna remains a pillar of strength and dedication. His growing popularity and consistent performances have steadily positioned him as one of Tamil cinema’s most dependable star-actors.
