Speaking about the idea behind Super Subbu, director Mallik Ram said: “Super Subbu was born from the simple observation that sex education is still often treated as a taboo. Parents avoid the topic, schools brush it aside, and children grow up with confusion and myths. I wanted to address this silence through humour — by setting the story in a village that feels familiar. Subramanyam’s journey reflects how innocence meets awareness, and how humour can help us open up about topics we usually avoid. It’s also a story about family, community, and the courage to speak up.”
