Not too long ago, Naga Chaitanya surprised his social media fam by sharing photos of his engagement with co-actress Sobhita Dhulipala. While the couple’s families shared their happiness whereas the actors expressed their excitement about this new journey, neither of them opened up about the wedding date. However, going by the latest update of the Ponniyin Selvan actress, it seems that the families have kick started the rituals for the impending wedding.

Taking to her official handle on the social media platform Instagram, Sobhita Dhulipala shared a series of photos from a traditional ceremony called Godhuma Raayi which is an essential part of the Telugu culture. The actress was decked up in a South Indian saree with hair tied into a braid and decorated with gajra, followed by gold traditional jewellery and was seen celebrating this ceremony along with her entire family in Visakhapatnam aka Vizag. Dhulipala shared glimpses from this tradition where she is seen following many rituals and customs along with bonding with her sister and the rest of the family. “Godhuma Raayi Pasupu danchatam… And so it begins!” her post read hinting at the onset of the wedding rituals.

Sobhita also received lot of love from her fans and followers across the globe. While many appreciated her for maintaining her roots and following her traditions, several others also praised her beauty. “So wholesome”, “So elegant”, “Now I understand when you want Telugu-ness in your wedding! All these pictures tell a story about weddings in our Telugu homes. Also, I absolutely adore how you shine in simplicity!” were some of the comments that were dropped by her social media fam on the post.

For the unversed, Naga Chaitanya, who was earlier married to the now Pan-India star Samantha Ruth Prabhu, announced his engagement with Sobhita Dhulipala in August.
