SIIMA 2022: Armaan Malik names music directors he wants to work with : Bollywood News

The star-studded event, South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA), saw numerous celebrities gracing the red carpet from Sandalwood and Tollywood. Needless to say, singer Armaan Malik was also one of them. The young talented singer bagged the title of the ‘Best Playback Singer (Kannada)’ for his song Neenaade Naa. Apart from expressing his gratitude, the singer also talked about his aspirations during the media interaction.

Interestingly, Malik was asked to name the composers he would like to work with. In his response, he asserted, “I would love to work with M Jayachandran sir in Malayalam. I would love to work with Pritam sir. I have already done a song with him. And, probably another song with AR Rahman sir.” The 27-year-old singer-songwriter also shared that he would like to perform a duet with his contemporary Arijit Singh as he hopes it will be “beautiful”.

As mentioned earlier, the singer-songwriter lifted the trophy for the Best Playback Singer. Post the event, he took to his social media handle and shared a post to express his gratitude. In the video, he can be seen singing a small part of the song. Meanwhile, in the caption he wrote, “This one is dedicated to our beloved Appu sir, hope this makes him smile in the heavens”.

For the unversed, the song, 'Neenaade Naa', was picturised on the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar in his last film titled Yuvarathnaa. The late Kannada actor was also honoured with the title of Best Actor (Kannada). The late Kannada actor passed away after suffering from a serious cardiac arrest in October 2021.
