Shruti Haasan to star in Rajinikanth starrer Coolie; confirms with social media post : Bollywood News

Recently, Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed, much to the excitement of fans, that they have kicked off a major shoot schedule of their highly awaited film Coolie. Adding to the surprise, actress-singer Shruti Haasan has been roped in as a part of the film. Furthermore, confirming this good news, the actress took to social media to drop a hint and fans couldn’t be more excited.

Shruti Haasan shares post on Coolie

On Friday, makers Sun Pictures in association with filmmaker Lokesh Kangaraj shared a poster announcing the commencement of the film’s shoot on social media. While fans couldn’t stop showering the post with love, Shruti Haasan too revealed that she has joined the shoot schedule. Keeping the details to a bare minimum, Shruti took to her Instagram story to share a photo of her in a casual look and posted Day 1 #Coolie along with an evil eye emoji.

About Coolie

Coolie marks the first collaboration of Lokesh Kanagaraj with Rajinikanth. Speaking of its crew, Anirudh Ravichander will be composing the film's soundtrack and Girish Gangadharan has been roped in cinematographer. The editing will be handled by Philomin Raj whereas Anbariv will be taking care of the action in the movie. Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, Coolie is slated for a multilingual release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.

About Shruti Haasan’s upcoming projects

Apart from Coolie, Shruti also has Dacoit alongside Adivi Sesh in the pipeline where the actors are expected to play star-crossed lovers and it is slated to release later this year as a Hindi-Telugu bilingual. Certain reports also suggested that the actress was a part of Yash starrer Toxic especially after she lent her voice for a song in the announcement video but there has been no news ever since and it is believed that the actress isn’t a part of the project.
