Amid heightened anticipation, Mahesh Babu's latest venture, Guntur Kaaram, featuring Sreeleela, has hit theatres, signalling a much-awaited reunion with director Trivikram Srinivas after 12 years. Released on January 12, this film marks Babu's return to the big screen. His previous appearance was in 2022's Sarkaru Vaari Paata alongside Keerthy Suresh. Now, Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan has expressed his eagerness to catch this movie in theatres.

Sharing the trailer of the film on his X account, formerly Twitter, Shah Rukh Khan said, “Looking forward to #GunturKaaram my friend @urstrulyMahesh!!! A promising ride of action, emotion and of course…. Massss!!! Highly inflammable!”

In Guntur Kaaram, a stellar ensemble, including Ramya Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Easwari Rao, Jayaram, Jagapathi Babu, and Meenakshi Chaudhary, and others, weave diverse performances. S Thaman has composed the music whereas cinematographers Manoj Paramahamsa and PS Vinod have worked on the film. The narrative's flow is curated by the editing of Navin Nooli.

The film faced a box office clash on Friday with Teja Sajja’s HanuMan, Venkatesh’s Saindhav and Nagarjuna starrer Naa Saami Ranga.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan had mega 2023 with three releases – Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. While he is yet to announce his next, he is reportedly working with Sujoy Ghosh on his next which will also star his daughter Suhana Khan.
