Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who started her career with South films, gained a massive fan following across the country with her power-packed role in The Family Man Season 2 on Amazon Prime Video. Taking her collaboration with this digital platform even further, the actress will be seen playing the lead of Citadel (India) alongside Varun Dhawan. Before that, she is gearing up for her yet another pan India film Shaakuntalam alongside Dev Mohan. Recently, the actress opened up about the influx of different language cinema and her opinion on the North vs South debate.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently spoke about how the entire Indian film industry is coming together and how the barrier of languages has slowly started to disappear. Giving her opinion about the North vs South debate to ANI, Samantha said, “There's no wall between North and South films now. I don't want to engage in any debate over this.”

In fact, the actress also maintained that it has opened many doors of opportunities for the stars from across the country to be a part of different projects in different industries. She went on to further extend her gratitude towards the many different projects she can explore as she added, “As an actor, it gives me immense pleasure that I can work in films across languages. Nowadays, audiences also watch movies from different languages."

Talking about Samantha’s upcoming projects, the actress is gearing up for the release of the epic saga Shaakuntalam which is inspired by the world-famous historical play written by classical Sanskrit author Kalidasa. The romantic drama will release on April 14 in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. On the other hand, including Citadel (India), Samantha also has the much-awaited Kushi, a rom-com with Vijay Deverakonda, in the pipeline.
