Rishab Shetty’s cinematic universe continues to grow — this time, reaching a global audience. Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1, the much-awaited prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara – A Legend, is set to make its exclusive worldwide streaming debut on Prime Video starting October 31. The film will be available in Kannada along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, accessible to viewers across more than 200 countries and territories.

Written, directed, and headlined by Rishab Shetty, the mythological action thriller features Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram in pivotal roles. Produced by Hombale Films, Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 dives deeper into the cinematic world that captivated millions, offering an origin story that is as spiritual as it is spectacular.

Set during the Kadamba dynasty, the prequel unravels the roots of the Panjurli Daiva legend — the divine guardian spirit who protects the sacred forests of Kantara.
