A video allegedly showing legendary actor Rajinikanth has recently surfaced on social media, sparking concern among his fans. The viral footage captures a man, said to be the Tamil superstar, walking in the lawn of his Chennai residence when he suddenly trips and falls. The clip opens with the man stepping out of his home in a casual t-shirt to collect the morning newspaper. As he turns to head back, he slips on the wet ground and falls face-first. However, he quickly gets up without any visible reaction and calmly walks back inside.
After the video began circulating on social media, many netizens voiced concern over Rajinikanth's privacy. While some questioned the video's authenticity, others were more troubled by how such personal footage from inside the actor’s home had been leaked.
One user asked, "May I inquire as to how one might obtain this personal footage?" Another wrote, "It is disheartening that individuals would record others during their vulnerable moments solely for views. Everyone is entitled to privacy. It would be best to focus on one's own affairs rather than intruding on the lives of others." A third comment read, "It appears that someone was secretly recording him," while another user wondered, "Was their CCTV footage also hacked?"
On the work front, Rajinikanth is currently gearing up for the release of Coolie. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film features a stellar ensemble cast including Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, Monisha Blessy, and Kaali Venkat in key roles.
Coolie is said to revolve around the story of Deva, an aging gangster, who attempts to rebuild his former empire by using stolen technology hidden inside antique gold watches to reunite his old allies. The film is expected to delve into Deva’s complex past, his desire for redemption, and the chaos that unfolds as he tries to reclaim his lost glory.
Rajinikanth is also currently working on Jailer 2, the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The film is expected to hit theatres either in late 2025 or early 2026.
