While speaking about Hombale Films in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, director Prashanth Neel said, “Hombale has changed the game for Kannada cinema in every sense. Before K.G.F, our films rarely got attention outside Karnataka. But after that, the way people looked at Kannada films completely shifted.”

According to the filmmaker, it further helps that the production house deems it important to invest in people and ideas, as much as it does in films. “Today, many young talents in Karnataka feel inspired and confident to think big. Hombale made that possible.”

Prashanth Neel, along with Hombale Films, directed the K.G.F. series and Salaar, both of which had a wide reach across India. These films achieved major box office success and drew attention for their large-scale theatrical appeal.

Hombale Films is a production house in Indian cinema known for delivering several Pan-India films. The studio has produced titles like K.G.F: Chapter 1 & 2, Kantara, and Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, and is known for working with notable talent, technicians, and music composers while focusing on large-scale storytelling.

The K.G.F franchise from Hombale Films is among the most commercially successful in Indian cinema. Created by Prashanth Neel and starring Yash as Rocky Bhai, K.G.F: Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 have collectively earned around Rs. 1500 crores, placing it among the highest-grossing Indian film franchises. The production house has upcoming releases including Kantara: Chapter 1, set to release on October 2, 2025, and Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam. Hombale Films has also announced a new project with Hrithik Roshan.
