Pooja Hegde expresses happiness over Vijay Thalapathy pursuing his dreams after Jana Nayagan; says, “He has different dreams in mind, and he needs to follow that”

Actor Pooja Hegde has reflected on her experience working with Vijay Thalapathy in his final cinematic outing, Jana Nayagan. Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, the Tamil-language political action thriller is scheduled for release in January and marks Vijay’s last film before he transitions fully into politics.

Sharing her thoughts, Pooja revealed that the project was filled with mixed emotions. “Honestly, I was just sad. Working with Vijay sir is the most relaxing experience. He is so cool and a totally chill person. I think in his mind, he knows he is a superstar, and he doesn’t feel the need to prove that because he is so comfortable with himself. He’s the sweetest co-star to work with,” she said.

The actress also recalled her final day on set with Vijay, acknowledging the significance of the moment. “I am excited for the film releasing in January. It is Vijay sir’s last film,” she noted. Pooja added that while the decision was bittersweet for his fans and colleagues, she respected his choice to pursue a new direction. “He has bigger dreams and different dreams in mind, and he needs to follow that. He’s still one of those people I meet up with, and he’s always very sweet,” she expressed.

Jana Nayagan features an ensemble cast including Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, and Priyamani in pivotal roles. The film not only holds weight as Vijay’s farewell project but also as KVN Productions’ first Tamil-language venture.

Audiences are eagerly anticipating Vijay and Pooja’s on-screen pairing in the film, which blends political themes with high-octane action. The actor’s decision to step away from films after decades of superstardom adds further significance to the release, making it one of the most closely watched projects in recent Tamil cinema.

Meanwhile, Pooja Hegde is balancing a busy slate of upcoming films. She recently grabbed attention with her performance in the song ‘Monica’ from Coolie and is next set to appear in Kanchana 4, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, and an untitled film opposite Dulquer Salmaan.
