Meanwhile, the actor’s family decided to pen sweet messages to the superstar on Tuesday. As the actor turned 49 on July 23, and with fans and close friends showering him with messages, his brother and popular actor Karthi too penned a note for him.

Karthi, who is best known for the magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan and Kaithi, took to Instagram to share a photo of him twinning with his brother in an all-white South Indian traditional avatar, also penned a beautiful birthday message for Suriya. In the note he wrote, “Happy birthday to the man who taught me that even if u start from zero anything could be learnt and achieved through commitment and hard work. Loads and loads of love to the anbana fans who are spreading so much love in the society. (hug emoji).”

The Tamil superstar currently was in Mumbai where he not only promoted his production and Akshay Kumar’s film Sarfira but also attended the high-profile wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, with wife Jyotika. The actor is currently gearing up for one of the biggest releases in Indian cinema this year with the magnum opus Kanguva. The Pan-India action entertainer will feature the actor in three different avatars and also star Disha Patani and Bobby Deol in key roles. The film is slated for release on October 10.
