Nayanthara joins Chiranjeevi for Mega157; marks hat-trick collaboration with him in Telugu Cinema

Actress Nayanthara is officially on board for her third film with Megastar Chiranjeevi, as she joins the cast of the much-anticipated #Mega157. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film marks their third collaboration after Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019) and Godfather (2022). The announcement was made with a fun and creatively shot video, which also marks Nayanthara’s return to Telugu cinema.

Sharing the news on X (formerly known as Twitter), Anil Ravipudi wrote, “Welcoming the ever graceful queen, #Nayanthara garu to our #Mega157 journey as she brings her brilliance and elegance alongside our Megastar @KChiruTweets garu once again.” Chiranjeevi too extended a warm welcome to his co-star on social media and tweeted, “Welcome back for the hatrick film #Nayanthara! Glad to have you on board for our #Mega157 journey with @anilravipudi. SANKRANTHI 2026 రఫ్ఫాడించేద్దాం.”

To complement the announcement, the makers released an entertaining video that features Nayanthara in a candid setup. The video begins with her interacting with her styling team in Telugu. When one of them asks if she is planning to do a Telugu film, she nods in affirmation. In another scene, she’s shown listening to a classic Chiranjeevi song, prompting her driver to ask if she’s teaming up with the Megastar again—again, she responds with a smiling nod. Later, the actress is seen reading a script, confirming that she is working with director Anil Ravipudi. The video ends with both Nayanthara and Ravipudi posing together, sealing the collaboration with a cheerful moment.

#Mega157 was first announced earlier in March this year. While plot details remain under wraps, the film is already being positioned as a Sankranthi 2026 release, ensuring a festival-season launch for fans across Telugu-speaking regions. Given Anil Ravipudi’s reputation for commercial entertainers and Chiranjeevi’s mass appeal, the film is expected to be a full-fledged entertainer.

In an earlier event, Chiranjeevi had spoken about the film wherein he had revealed that it’s going to be a laugh riot from start to finish. He had also shared details about Anil’s narration wherein he had insisted that the script had him laughing out loud and insisted that the audiences will feel the same joy when they watch it. This also marks Nayanthara’s return to Telugu cinema after a short gap, and with this third collaboration with the megastar, expectations are already high for what the star duo and Ravipudi have in store for audiences.
