Telugu superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni has joined the list of film celebrities like Kamal Haasan, Hema Malini, Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal and Mohanlal to take the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. The second phase of the COVID-19 vaccination commenced on March 1. More and more people are coming forward to get vaccinated against the deadly virus.
Nagarjuna took to his Twitter handle to reveal that he took the first shot of Covaxin at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He has become the first actor in the Telugu film industry to take the COVID-19 shot.
Taking to Twitter, Nagarjuna shared a picture of him taking the shot and wrote, "Got my #covaxin jab yesterday .. absolutely no down time. I urge whoever is eligible to take the vaccine!! You can now register for your #Covid19vaccine at https://cowin.gov.in Book your vaccine. and get it done! #Unite2FightCorona @VaccineVarta @MoHFW_India @BMGFIndia (sic)."

The vaccine is eligible for any Indian citizen aged above 60 and people who are aged above 45 and have comorbidities.
