Preity Mukhundhan, born in Trichy, is a rising star who gained overnight stardom for her moves in the song ‘Asa Kooda’. The song became a viral sensation and so did the actress but did you know that she was also in the film Star. Her journey in the entertainment industry began when she moved to Chennai, aiming to leverage her skills and talent in acting. This decision quickly bore fruit as her she debuted with the music video, Muttu Mu2, featuring Teejay Arunasalam, Yogi B, Sivaangi Krish, and Vijay TV Pugazh.
Preity's prowess extends to the silver screen, as she featured in the Tamil film STAR, directed by Elan, co-starring Kavin and Aaditi Pohankar. However, it was her video ‘Aasa Kooda’ that truly catapulted her to social media stardom, with her Instagram followers soaring from around 100k to an astonishing 741k. Being a trained dancer, Preity’s moves surely impressed the audiences.
The overwhelming success of the dance number has been a humbling experience for Preity, who extended her gratitude for the support. "My journey has been incredibly humbling. 'Aasa Kooda' and Star have been milestones, and I’m eagerly looking forward to my big release in Telugu," the actress-dancer said.
As mentioned by her, Preity is now set to make her debut in the Telugu film industry with the devotional epic film Kannappa starring alongside a stellar pan-Indian star cast featuring Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Sarath Kumar and Vishnu Manchu.
