The actress is expected to travel to Bangkok in the first week of June for the next shooting schedule of Sardar 2, her upcoming Tamil action-thriller with Karthi. According to a source close to the project, the team will film some key action sequences and a song during this schedule.

Speaking of the film, in September 2024, revealed insights on Sardar 2 during #AskMalavika session. When a fan asked about her upcoming Tamil film, the actress confirmed it to be Sardar 2. Her tweet read, "It’s also a very different and challenging role for me in this one which has been very exciting." Earlier a source shared, "She’s been training twice a day, with strength and endurance exercises in the mornings, followed by flexibility workouts like Pilates and yoga in the evenings."

Sardar 2 marks Malavika’s next Tamil film with a leading star and continues her presence in South Indian cinema. In addition to this, she is part of a multilingual lineup that includes The Raja Saab with Prabhas in Telugu, Hridayapoorvam with Mohanlal in Malayalam, and Sardar 2 in Tamil.

These projects reflect her ongoing efforts to work across regional industries. Featuring alongside prominent names from different film industries, Malavika is exploring a range of roles and storytelling styles. With multiple releases lined up, 2025 could be an eventful year in her career.
