In the past, Hombale Films has showcased its variety of content to mainstream audiences, with films like KGF Chapters 1 and 2, Kantara and the recent Salaar, that is Salaar - Part 1: Ceasefire. While these films have won hearts of the audiences and have been widely accepted by the masses. Following the massive success of the Kannada blockbuster Kantara, Hombale Films decided to take the masses on this divine journey even further and announced the spin off, Kantara: Chapter 1.
Since the announcement teaser, the film, helmed and headlined by Rishab Shetty has been highly anticipated by the fans and the audiences. Moreover, several speculations regarding the film's plot and character of Rishab Shetty have been doing rounds, after the release of the announcement video. Readers would be aware that the 2022 film already gave them a sneak peek into the world of Kantara by showing them a glimpse of the Panjurli Daiva folklore, we hear that the upcoming entertainer is expected to delve deeper into this subject.
Revealing some exciting details about the spin off, a source close to the project said, "The film draws the inspiration from ancient times and tells the story about the origin of Panjurli Daiva and Guliga Daiva divinities and also throws light on their origin."
Concluding the same, the source added, "While Kantara gave an insight into Panjurli Daiva, the prequel will give the audiences a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience with the inclusion of Panjurli Daiva and Guliga Daiva divinities".
Hombale Films is leaving no stone unturned in making Kantara Chapter 1 a cinematic spectacle for the audiences and it is also expected to be releasing in multiple languages. Meanwhile, the production house is also working on another interesting project titled Bagheera.
