Currently, it is being said that makers are focusing on introducing a grand war sequence, for which they have hired over 500 skilled fighters. These are specialists in action choreography who will help craft a war sequence that is not just unprecedented but also visually stunning.

Set in the Kadamba period in Karnataka, Kantara: Chapter 1 will explore a significant era in Indian history. The Kadambas of Banavasi were influential rulers who shaped the architecture and culture of the region, marking a golden period in Indian history. It is also being said that this sequel will be a large-scale film that will feature Rishab in a never-seen-before avatar. Also directed by him, further details on the cast and crew continue to stay under wraps. The mythological-supernatural drama is expected to release on October 2, marking the occasion of Dussehra.
