GOT star Jerome Flynn to play Boris Oliver in Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer L2: Empuraan : Bollywood News

It has been a known fact that Prithviraj Sukumaran is keen on making L2: Empuraan one of the biggest films in Malayalam Cinema. In a bid to do the same, the actor-filmmaker along with the production house has kept up the momentum as we inch closer to the trailer release with each passing day, by dropping new character posters on regular intervals. The latest one seems to have grabbed ample attention as fans were surprised to Games of Thrones star Jerome Flynn as a part of the film.

By now, readers would be aware that L2: Empuraan takes forward the journey of Stephan Nedumpally, traces his backstory and at the same time, also focuses on the impact of his exit from the current political scenario after handing over the reigns to P.K. Ramdas’ son Jathin Ramdas. Furthermore, the introduction of character posters have also revealed that audiences and fans of the franchise can expect several new additions to the cast including Jerome Flynn. The latter has been introduced as Boris Oliver in the character poster that was unveiled on social media on Sunday.

Along with that, it also included a video where Jerome opened up about his experience of making his Indian debut. “I don't quite remember how I got roped into this job but I am glad I did because, it was a completely different experience that I am used to having in UK or US. And to be a part of the Mollywood culture of things and to get a taste of that was extra special to me.” He went on to elaborate on his connection with the country and added, “I think because.. India was a really important precious part of my journey. I spent several years coming over here in my late 20s and early 30s, mostly on spiritual retreat. And the whole experience of being in India has changed my life forever in the best possible way”. Adding further, he insisted that he cannot reveal many details of his character but asserted that Boris plays an important role in Khureshi’s album.

L2: Empuraan is directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran with Mohanlal playing the lead along with Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Saikumar, among others in key roles. The magnum opus is expected to release in multiple languages including Hindi.
