Actor Mahesh Babu, who is collaborating with Rajamouli on their upcoming film currently titled SSMB29, shared a rare and candid photo with the director. In the picture, the duo is seen laughing and sharing a warm hug, giving fans a glimpse of their camaraderie. Wishing Rajamouli on his special day, Mahesh wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "Wishing the one and only @ssrajamouli a very Happy Birthday… The best is always yet to come . Have a great one, sir."

Back in August on Mahesh Babu’s birthday, Rajamouli had teased fans with news about the project. He shared that the team was working on something unique that would be revealed in November 2025. “Dear cinema lovers in India and around the world, and fans of Mahesh, it has been a while since we began shooting, and we appreciate your eagerness to know about the film,” Rajamouli had written. “However, the story and scope of this film are so vast that I feel mere pictures or press conferences cannot do it justice. We are currently working on something to showcase the essence, depth, and immersive world we are creating. This will be unveiled in November 2025, and we are trying to make it a NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN reveal. Thank you all for your patience,” he added.

Ram Charan, Jr NTR and Gopichandh Malineni Join In
RRR star Ram Charan also wished the director with a heartfelt note: "Happy Birthday to one of the greatest filmmakers of our time, my dearest @ssrajamouli garu ." Jr NTR, who starred alongside Ram Charan in RRR, shared a behind-the-scenes still from the set and wrote: "Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Jakkana @ssrajamouli!! Loads of love."
