Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna and music composer Anirudh Ravichander attended an event for their film Coolie organized by Spotify at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. Anirudh entertained the audience not just with his music performance but also with his statements.
Previously, Shruti Haasan had said that Anirudh is the “most eligible bachelor in the whole of South East Asia”. When the music composer was asked if she ever told him about the same in person, he shyly answered, “No, she never brought it up to me. She decided to say it on stage directly. I guess she knew that I'd get awkward if she told me in person! But you can see my expression that I was taken aback (laughs)!”

The host then talked about the catchy number ‘Mobsta’ and its line ‘Alelapulema’ has caught on big time; it was also played in the film’s trailer. Anirudh was asked about its meaning and that’s where he shared an amusing trivia, “You know, I go a little crazy in my studio. I like to blabber, shout and stuff like that. So, when that part of the song was composed, I simply said ‘Alelapulema Alelapulema Leyy’.”
Anirudh Ravichander continued, “I sent it to Lokesh. I thought he would wonder, ‘What does it mean? Put some lyrics’. But he remarked, ‘This is my favourite part of the teaser’ (laughs)! That is the kind of vibe we share. So, yeah, it was a very random gibberish thought that came into my head.”

He also revealed, “I checked for its meaning online and I found that in Greek, it means, ‘We are ready to fight’!” Shruti Haasan was asked what meaning she would like to give to those lines? She replied, “It means that Coolie is ready to fight at the box office!”
Anirudh Ravichander then spoke about his experience of working on Coolie, “We haven’t slept in a while. I must say that every minute that we have worked on this film has been very enjoyable. The adrenaline kept us going. Yes, we have had sleepless nights, but at the same time, we enjoyed working on this film. I hope it does really well and then Coolie 2 also happens! I hope this film is loved by everyone. It has been a great experience. We didn’t even feel the lack of sleep for a second.”

This was followed by a scintillating performance by Anirudh Ravichander. The fans went crazy and Anirudh enjoyed every minute of performing for them. The composer was so overwhelmed that he also down from the stage and remarked, “I feel like I am in Chennai!”
Coolie releases in cinemas on August 14.
