Mammootty is back with one of his most popular characters- Sethurama Iyer from the popular CBI series. After teasing fans with posters of the upcoming film CBI 5- The Brain, Mammootty dropped the teaser of the film on Wednesday evening. The teaser gives us a glimpse into the new case that Iyer has taken over.
The teaser begins with a voice-over of Sethurama Iyer talking about the deaths of Sanjay Gandhi, Indhira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi and an attempt to find the common elements between all their deaths. The teaser is also infused with the iconic background music of the CBI series with a befitting entry of Sethurama Iyer.
CBI 5 comes 17 years after the release of the fourth installment of the film. The teaser promises a nail-biting investigative thriller.
Directed by K Madhu, CBI 5 is written by SN Swamy. The CBI series began in 1988 with the film Oru CBI Diary Kurippu, which was followed by Jagratha (1989), Sethurama Iyer CBI (2004), and Nerariyan CBI (2005).
