One of the biggest films of the year, KGF – Chapter 2, will be out in cinemas in just a week. The excitement is tremendous not just for the original Kannada version but also for the dubbed Hindi version. The first part was released in 2018 with minimal promotions and clashed with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Zero. Yet, it managed to grow thanks to terrific word of mouth. It also found immense viewership on satellite. As a result, the trade and viewers are excited for the sequel and expect it to open with a bang.

KGF – Chapter 2 is an actioner and there are times when the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) cuts certain shots if they find them excessively violent. However, fans of this series will be happy to know that KGF – Chapter 2’s Hindi version has been passed with absolutely no cuts.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The CBFC didn’t see any reason to ask for any deletion of any shot. The violence is there but not too disturbing. Moreover, they didn’t even cut any dialogue as there was nothing inappropriate or controversial in their opinion.”

Nevertheless, the CBFC did ask for some changes to be made. The English title of the film was replaced with that in Hindi. Similarly, the Hindi opening disclaimer and the anti-smoking and anti-smoking tickers were replaced with Hindi disclaimers.

Once these changes were made, KGF – Chapter 2 was passed by the CBFC with a U/A certificate. The certificate was handed over to the makers on April 4. The length of the film as mentioned on the censor certificate is 168.06 minutes. In other words, KGF – Chapter 2 is 2 hours 48 minutes and 6 minutes long.

KGF’s first part starred Kannada superstar Yash and Srinidhi Shetty. This time, they are joined by Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon, with the former playing a ruthless antagonist.
