Prime Video has officially announced the global streaming premiere of Madharaasi, the much-anticipated psychological action thriller helmed by acclaimed filmmaker AR Murugadoss. The film, which stars Sivakarthikeyan in a never-seen-before avatar, will be available for streaming from October 1 across India and in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. Audiences can enjoy the film in Tamil as well as dubbed versions in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Featuring a stellar ensemble cast including Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Vikranth, and Shabeer Kallarakkal, Madharaasi combines a gripping psychological narrative with high-octane action sequences. The film also boasts a soundtrack by Anirudh Ravichander, with the chart-topping number Salambala already winning hearts ahead of the release.
Set in Tamil Nadu, the story follows Raghu (Sivakarthikeyan), a car showroom employee suffering from a rare psychological disorder that makes him believe strangers are his lost relatives. His life takes a dramatic turn when NIA officer Premnath (Biju Menon) draws him into a dangerous covert mission to infiltrate a gas cylinder factory that secretly houses a weapons syndicate. As Raghu’s unstable mental state collides with a ruthless underworld led by Virat (Vidyut Jammwal) and Chirag (Vikranth), his haunting past and emotional connection with Malathi (Rukmini Vasanth), a dental student and singer, create a thrilling blend of vulnerability and courage.
