Actor Adivi Sesh recently shared his cherished childhood recollections of Independence Day celebrations. Speaking to IANS, he recounted how August 15 held a significant place in his upbringing as it symbolized a connection to his Indian heritage, despite being miles away from the homeland. He said, “My childhood was filled with Independence Day celebrations in California. Growing up, August 15 was a way for us to connect with our roots. We'd have melas. As children, we'd do dance performances (I even won a couple), and we had our own way of reflecting upon what India meant.”

Remembering those formative years, Adivi Sesh revealed, “It felt even more special because in America at the time, we weren't surrounded by anything Indian. India was only in the heart.”

He firmly asserted that India remains his eternal motherland, and his endeavour is to forge a meaningful connection with it. This sentiment led him to explore profound concepts such as the essence of being a soldier in his movie Major. He delved into questions about the true nature of India, questioning whether it resides within its borders, its religions, or its villages. Through his introspection, he realized that India is, above all, an emotion.

Adivi Sesh took on a pivotal role in the 2022 biographical action-drama film Major, which centred on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, a hero who lost his life during the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The film resonated deeply with Adivi Sesh, given his inclination towards historical figures and the ideals they embody.

Adivi Sesh's acting journey also includes notable films like Baahubali: The Beginning and the 2022 Telugu crime thriller HIT: The Second Case, in which he portrayed the protagonist unravelling a serial murder mystery. As he looks ahead, Adivi Sesh is gearing up for Goodachari 2.
