Hombale Films’ and Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 is being hailed as one of the biggest cinematic events of the year. Following the massive success of Kantara in 2022, audiences had been eagerly awaiting its prequel. The recently unveiled trailer, filled with intense moments and striking visuals, has generated strong excitement. Within 24 hours, it crossed over 107 million views and 3.4 million likes, also becoming the most shared trailer in a single day.

The trailer of Kantara: Chapter 1 is setting new records. While it has received appreciation from all quarters, its distinction as the most shared trailer in 24 hours stands out. So far, it has crossed over 160 million views. The high number of shares reflects genuine audience excitement and shows the pride people feel in the film.

The film brings together a team of five stunt choreographers, including Hollywood’s Todor Lazarov and Indian action directors Ram-Lakshman, Mahesh Mathew, and Mithun Singh Rajput. From Karnataka, Arjun Raj has played a key role in designing the high-energy interval and climax sequences. In a recent interview, Arjun Raj spoke about one of his favourite action scenes and praised Rishab Shetty’s commitment to executing it with full dedication.

Action director Arjun Raj shared, “The interval and climax sequences are my favourites. The interval fight, in particular, was the first big sequence I choreographed with Rishab sir. His acting, combined with the action, makes it unforgettable. I believe this sequence cannot be recreated by anyone else. It's that unique. I'm confident that not only India but the entire world will appreciate it once they watch the film.”

Kantara: Chapter 1 is among Hombale Films’ most ambitious projects. The team includes music director B. Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematographer Arvind Kashyap, and production designer Vinesh Banglan, who have all contributed to shaping the film’s visual and emotional narrative.

Hombale Films is making a strong effort to carry forward the legacy of the 2022 hit Kantara. For Kantara: Chapter 1, the makers have created a large-scale war sequence with national and international experts, featuring over 500 fighters and 3,000 participants. Shot over 45–50 days in a 25-acre town built on rugged terrain, it stands as one of the biggest sequences attempted in Indian cinema.

Scheduled for a worldwide release on October 2, Kantara: Chapter 1 will be released in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English, aiming to connect with audiences across regions while staying rooted in its cultural essence.

With Kantara: Chapter 1, Hombale Films continues its effort to expand the scope of Indian cinema, offering an experience that weaves together folklore, faith, and strong visual storytelling.
