Actor Tom Holland was reportedly taken to the hospital after a stunt-related accident on the sets of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. According to The Sun, the actor is believed to have suffered a concussion following a fall that occurred during filming at Leavesden Studios in Watford, Hertfordshire.
In addition to Tom Holland, a female stunt performer—reportedly serving as his double—was also transported to the hospital by ambulance. The incident took place on Friday morning, leading to an immediate pause in production.
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed the medical response, stating: “We were called at 10:30 a.m. on Friday to attend to a patient who had sustained an injury at Leavesden Studios in Watford. An ambulance was sent to the scene, and the patient was transported to hospital for further care.”
Following the incident, Holland’s father, comedian Dominic Holland, addressed the situation during a charity event in Mayfair. He shared that Tom would be away from filming "for a while." Tom Holland, who attended the event with co-star Zendaya, reportedly left early after feeling unwell.
The incident may lead to an investigation by the UK’s Health and Safety Executive, which oversees workplace safety regulations. According to Deadline, a production meeting is scheduled for the following day to assess the situation and discuss possible adjustments to the filming schedule. No other cast or crew members were reportedly affected by the accident.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks Holland’s fourth standalone film as the iconic Marvel superhero. The movie is currently slated for a 2026 release and is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige are producing the film. Also, Zendaya returns as MJ, while Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas have joined the cast in undisclosed roles.
