Im Siwan commits eerie cyber-crimes impersonating Chun Woo Hee in thriller Netflix film Unlocked; see official poster

Netflix has unveiled the official poster for its upcoming South Korean thriller film Unlocked, starring Im Siwan and Chun Woo Hee.

According to Korean tabloid Soompi, Unlocked tells the story of an ordinary office worker who loses her phone and proceeds to be threatened. After losing her phone that contains all of her personal information, the absolute worst-case scenario becomes her reality.

Im Siwan will portray the cyber-criminal Jun Yeong who picks up Na Mi’s (Chun Woo Hee) phone, and approaches her using the device to commit the most eerie of crimes. The newly dropped poster features a shot of the two main characters with an eerie text that read, as translated by Soompi, “Someone is pretending to be you by using your phone.”

As per the report, Kim Hee Won will also star in the film as Ji Man, “who finds clues leading toward his son Jun Yeong when he goes to investigate a murder that left behind a dead body on a hill.”

Director Kim Tae Joon said of the film, “I thought of the smartphone as another actor and the main character in the movie, and I wanted to capture the diverse aspects of a smartphone.” He further explains how anyone who uses a smartphone can easily be put into such creepy situations.

Netflix’s Unlocked will be released on February 17.
