BTS’ SUGA wrapped up the trilogy story of Agust D’s walk to self-awareness and liberation with D-Day. KARD – WITHOUT YOU
KARD is one of the few mixed groups that have delivered strong music compositions since their debut. The group went on a hiatus a couple of years ago, owing to J.Seph’s military enlistment, but now that he is back, the group is also gearing up to spread their magic once again. The group made a comeback in April 2023 with the single ‘Without You’ which falls in line with the music KARD is synonymous with - foot-tapping music with a heady mix of their captivating vocals.
DAWN – DEAR MY LIGHT
The news of Dawn and Hyuna’s separation was a shocker, to put it mildly. After their separation, the two ventured on their solo paths to make music. Dawn poured his heart out in his music and lyrics, more so with the latest track ‘Dear My Light’. This heartbreak track finds Dawn singing soulfully to the tunes of soft piano and guitar notes.
BOL4 – FRIEND THE END
The season of spring - summer would feel empty without BOL4’s music. The songstress brings her child-like charm once again as she hums to the soothing tunes of ‘Friend The End’, a romantic pop track which feels straight out of a dream.
TEMPEST – DANGEROUS
Tempest never fails to amaze with their music. With each comeback, the group takes it several notches higher and it is no different with their latest music release. The stretchy bass and hip-hop beats add a nice touch to the raw feeling in the song.
NCT DOJAEJUNG – PERFUME
What happens when you put three honey-voiced vocalists together as a subunit? You get NCT DoJaeJung. This subunit was a welcome surprise from NCT as it showcases a new side to the group’s versatility. Composed of Doyoung, Jaehyun and Jungwoo, NCT DoJaeJung’s debut EP ‘Perfume’ is as fruity and floral as their vocals.
BLOO – MUSE
As a musician, BLOO has always stood firm on the expectations of his fans. The rapper-songwriter took a path of romance and sensuality with his latest musical release. The title track ‘muse’ from his album ‘Fox and the City’ is simply enchanting to the ears. BLOO’s laidback vocals paired with equally laid-back music arrangement brings out a stunning sensual simplicity in the track.
DRIPPIN – SEVEN SINS
As a group, DRIPPIN has always managed to find meaning among the myths and the lore to present their music. This time around, the group goes back to philosophy as it sings about the seven sins. DRIPPIN forays into a synth heavy music track as it croons to the idea of falling into greed and giving in to the temptation of committing a sin, or seven.
