BTS’ SUGA announced as new global brand ambassador for Valentino

The much-loved member of the pop band joins as the company’s ambassador.

One name genuinely stands out from the others in the vibrant world of fashion, where diligence, remarkable talent, and amazing inventiveness are highly respected. It is the name of the Italian fashion designer and proprietor of the Valentino brand, Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani, also known simply as Valentino. People all over the world, especially those who appreciate fine, opulent materials and patterns, were profoundly impacted by his amazing works. Valentino's jet-set stylish clothes design is incredibly distinctive and exemplifies how innovation and tradition can coexist. Just one day after his bandmate Jimin was appointed Dior's brand ambassador, BTS member SUGA has been designated the newest brand ambassador by Valentino.

According to WWD, the brand’s creative director described Suga (real name Min Yoongi) as “a multifaceted artist; he is an interpreter and uses his talent and his work to express himself with energy and authenticity. He perfectly embodies everything that DI.VA.s testimonials stand for: diversity, inclusivity, creativity and passion.” DI.VA.s refers to “Different Values,” which is Valentino’s group of brand ambassadors.

SUGA expressed his excitement about the new partnership, sharing that “all individuals have different dreams and values.” The South Korean musician noted that Valentino and creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli have “been supportive of diversity which is something that I also believe in.”

SUGA, aka Min Yoongi, has impeccable taste in fashion. One day the BTS rapper grabs everyone's attention with his elegant and sophisticated ensemble. Suga can be seen in the brand's pictures wearing a black jacket and matching black pants, breaking up the uniformity with a small white scarf around his neck.

On the work front, last year, SUGA collaborated with PSY on the latter’s 9^th album’s title track ‘That That’. He co-produced, co-wrote and featured in the music video.
