Ben Affleck’s The Accountant 2 to premiere on Prime Video on June 5, watch trailer

After a successful theatrical run and recognition at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival, The Accountant 2 is set to arrive on Prime Video globally on June 5, 2025. The sequel to the 2016 action-thriller The Accountant continues the story of Christian Wolff, played by Ben Affleck, and has been lauded by both critics and audiences. The film is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and also clinched the Audience Award at SXSW.

Directed by Gavin O’Connor and written by Bill Dubuque, The Accountant 2 reunites Ben Affleck with Jon Bernthal, who returns as Brax, Christian Wolff’s estranged brother. Also returning is Cynthia Addai-Robinson as U.S. Treasury official Marybeth Medina, joined by new cast members Daniella Pineda, Allison Robertson, and veteran actor J.K. Simmons.

In the sequel, Christian Wolff is drawn into a new investigation after the mysterious murder of an old acquaintance, who leaves behind a message urging others to “find the accountant.” What begins as a cryptic puzzle soon turns into a deadly conspiracy, forcing Wolff to team up with his lethal brother Brax. As they dig deeper with Medina’s help, they uncover a vast network of criminal operations—and become targets themselves.

Produced by Ben Affleck, Lynette Howell Taylor, and Mark Williams, The Accountant 2 blends cerebral intrigue with high-stakes action. Its Prime Video release makes it accessible to global audiences just in time for the summer season.
