While we have seen multiple leaps in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain, viewers can now gear up to watch another one, albeit a small leap. Being one of the longest running shows on Indian Television, the Star Plus show currently explores the love story of Abhira played by Samridhii Shukla and Armaan played by Rohit Purohit. Their interesting story has a twist in the form of an obsessed Ruhi played by Garvita Sadhwani who shares a love-hate relationship with Abhira.

Amid curiosity surrounding the leap, Samridhii Shukla confessed in reports that it is indeed happening, and it will be a short three-month-leap that will focusing on the aftermath of Abhira and Armaan’s marriage. Furthermore, piquing the interest of the views, she has also dropped a major update on her bond with Ruhi, stating that the Star Plus show makers have some interesting plans in place that aim at developing the relationship between the two of them post the leap. "Yes, the news of three months leap is absolutely true. There are some big changes that are coming in. We've already started shooting a lot of these scenes post the leap. One of the good things to look forward to is that the relationship between Ruhi and Abhira will improve,” she told Times Now.

Currently, the show’s track is focusing on the dilemma faced by Armaan after his adopted mother Vidya curses him for choosing his decision to marry Abhira, on the day of their griha pravesh. While she played a key role in convincing everyone for the marriage, her mind changes after it is revealed that Abhira cannot bear a child. The three-month leap will see Armaan ignoring Abhira since he is guilt-ridden and anxious about the curse and the latter will sink deeper into depression. Meanwhile, Ruhi decides to move on in her marriage with Rohit (played by Romit Raaj) and will be pregnant with their first child.
