Harshvardhan Rane is on cloud nine. The actor debuted in Bollywood with the sweet love story Sanam Teri Kasam in 2016 but then he wasn’t seen much in films. His fan following is huge who were waiting with bated breath when he would sign his next flick. And finally last week, luck favoured him. Abhishek Bachchan opted out of J P Dutta’s war drama Paltan just few days before he was to start shooting for the film. An urgent call for replacement led the team of Paltan to bump into Harshvardhan Rane. The dashing actor has the same build as Abhishek and he seemed the perfect bit. He was signed on in no time.

Today, Harshvardhan Rane posted a sweet picture on Twitter that shows how happy he is to a part of a J P Dutta film. It’s the director’s birthday today and on this occasion, he cut a cake along with the cast of Paltan, comprising of Harshvardhan, Gurmeet Choudhary, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Siddhanth Kapoor and Luv Sinha. Harshvardhan tweeted a picture of this lovely bonhomie and captioned, “Songs from Border still gives me goosebumps. The Indian Army thanks you, and so do we”. Border here refers to the 1997 film made by J P Dutta which has achieved a cult status. In the picture, he also added a text that said, “Blessed Squad”.

Paltan also stars Pulkit Samrat, Suniel Shetty, Jimmy Sheirgill, and Jackie Shroff.
