These celebrity journeys are more than vacations; they are powerful endorsements of eco-conscious travel. By choosing India’s forests and promoting sustainable practices, these stars celebrate the country’s commitment to preserving its extraordinary wildlife and natural heritage.

Raveena Tandon – Bandhavgarh National Park

Bollywood actor and wildlife enthusiast Raveena Tandon is an optimist who believes in looking at the positive side of any situation. Raveena Tandon enjoyed a memorable getaway to King’s Lodge in Bandhavgarh with husband Anil Thadani and their children, sharing glimpses of her passion for wildlife. Her visit highlighted the urgent need for safer habitats, as she reminded followers that many animals are lost to roadkill and called for state governments to lessen traffic movement through forests and create more overhead wildlife crossings. Her love for the jungle began early when she was around six or seven. Her first-ever safari with her father was to Bandipur National Park in Karnataka and Mudumalai Tiger Reserve in Tamil Nadu. From then onward, her love story with the jungle began. She has travelled to forests across the world, but insists there is no romance in any of them like there is in the Indian jungles. It underlines her passion for wildlife conservation and the urgent need for safer habitats.

Randeep Hooda – Tadoba National Park

Tadoba Tiger Reserve derives its name from the tribal god Taru or Tadoba and the Andhari River that flows through the area. Randeep Hooda, a passionate wildlife supporter, often visits not only well-known but also lesser-explored national parks across the country. Before undergoing his knee operation in 2022, Randeep Hooda made a memorable visit to Tadoba, reinforcing his commitment to exploring India’s wilderness even during a challenging personal phase. His trip, just before surgery, became a testament to his deep connection with nature and his determination to prioritize eco-conscious travel. Waghoba Eco Lodge, which is a Pugdundee Safaris Experience, has set new standards of eco-friendliness and conscious tourism. The cottages here have been crafted by drawing inspiration from the very best of eco-construction techniques from around the globe, with sustainability ingrained in every aspect of their design. The lodge was awarded the Green Resort Award in 2022 by the Maharashtra Forest Department.

Nimrit Kaur – Pench National Reserve

Nestled in a large 40-acre estate in the Karmajhiri area of Pench National Park, Pench Tree Lodge is the first resort in Pench to be set up in this underdeveloped zone supporting a conservation policy of spreading the benefits of tourism far and beyond. During her visit to the Pench Tiger Reserve, Nimrit Kaur shared details of the many delicacies she enjoyed at the lodge. “Everything was locally procured, ingeniously reimagined, and, most importantly, my personal litmus test as a food lover it was truly simply prepared with love and hit that sweet spot like only home food can. Guiltlessly, I left a few pounds heavier, not just physically, but with pure joy and sheer delight,” she mentioned in an Instagram post.

Kareena Kapoor Khan – Ranthambore National Park

Kareena Kapoor Khan has long been drawn to the untamed beauty of Rajasthan’s Ranthambore National Park, one of India’s most famous tiger reserves. Over the years, she has visited the park multiple times with her family, including memorable trips with her husband Saif Ali Khan and their children, making it a preferred holiday destination for the star couple. Known for its ancient fort ruins, dry deciduous forests, and the thrill of tiger spotting, Ranthambore offers the perfect blend of history and wilderness. During their safaris, the family is often seen enjoying quiet jeep rides through the rugged terrain, soaking in sightings of tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and a variety of migratory birds. Their stays often reflect a conscious choice of eco-lodges and heritage properties that support local conservation efforts underscoring her quiet endorsement of responsible tourism.

Ayushmann Khurrana – Kaziranga National Park

Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife Tahira Kashyap explored the lush wilderness of Assam’s Kaziranga National Park, which features green meadows and dense forests. In addition to its famous one-horned rhinoceros, the park is home to Royal Bengal tigers, wild elephants, monitor lizards, and water birds such as the spot-billed pelican and grey-headed lapwing. Celebrity-approved stay options here include Wild Mahseer and Diphlu River Lodge, both offering immersive wildlife experiences.

Dia Mirza – Satpura Tiger Reserve

Dia Mirza experienced the quiet magic of Satpura at Reni Pani Jungle Lodge, calling it “the most magical mornings and evenings spent in this magnificent forest, the perfect place to restore and rejuvenate our senses.” Sharing a moment with her young son on Instagram, she wrote that her “little naturalist” son delighted her by declaring, “Mama, I want to live in this forest,” a moment that perfectly captures her deep bond with the wild. Built on once-degraded farmland and restored to thriving biodiversity, Reni Pani Jungle Lodge follows a strict zero-plastic policy and offers almost no Wi-Fi, giving guests the rare chance to switch off and truly reconnect. For Dia, long recognised for her work in sustainability, this retreat was both a personal recharge and a celebration of mindful tourism.
