Synopsis:
FOUR MORE SHOTS PLEASE! SEASON 4 is the story of four best friends. Siddhi Patel (Maanvi Gagroo) gets pre-wedding jitters but her friends, Damini Rizvi Roy (Sayani Gupta), Anjana Menon (Kirti Kulhari) and Umang Singh (Bani J), convince her to take the plunge. She gets hitched to Mihir Shah (Rajeev Siddhartha). Sadly, their sex life is not going great and moreover, Mihir has reservations that Siddhi jokes about it while doing stand-up. Damini Rizvi Roy is struggling to move on after breaking up with Jeh Wadia (Prateik Babbar). At the recommendation of her friends and also netizens, she decides to start her own podcast. Her unexpected partner in the project is her mischievous brother, Ashokaditya (Kunaal Roy Kapur). Anjana begins working from a co-working space where her neighbour is the suave Rohan Wanse (Dino Morea). In no time, sparks fly between the two. Umang starts afresh after dumping Samara Kapoor (Lisa Ray) at their wedding and she meets three prospective women. What happens next forms the rest of the series.
Four More Shots Please! Season 4 Story Review:
Devika Bhagat's story is sweet and relatable. Devika Bhagat's screenplay is breezy. This time, the conflicts are not too heavy and that makes for a fun watch. Ishita Moitra's dialogues are straight out of life and add to the entertainment quotient.
Arunima Sharma and Neha Parti Matiyani's direction is breezy. FOUR MORE SHOTS PLEASE has been a popular series, but one common complaint against the show was that it was needlessly long. Thankfully, the fourth and final season is the shortest, with just 7 episodes. Each episode has a duration of 30-35 minutes, with the final episode being the longest, at 41 minutes. The run time is just perfect as the focus is on taking the story forward, depicting the lives of the four friends, without getting into needless sub plots or dragging for the heck of it. Moreover, the previous season got too serious. In comparison, the makers keep the mood light in the current season, though the conflicts are very much part of the story. However, the humour is a highlight. The character arcs, on the whole, are organic and involve the viewers.
On the flipside, the writing could have been better in several places. Ashokaditya’s track is entertaining. However, it's bewildering that he left his life and work in Delhi and shifted indefinitely with Damini. At a few places, the show gets frivolous, at times for no reason. Anjana hooking up with Sanjay (Shivam Anand) is needlessly forced. The makers also forget about the track and it doesn’t really add to the love story between Anjana and Rohan. Rohan’s past is also not fully explored.

Four More Shots Please! Season 4 Performances:
All the four ladies get to play well fleshed out characters and are equally superb. Maanvi Gagroo is adorable as always and plays a challenging role with panache. Sayani Gupta brings out the complexities of Damini with conviction. Kirti Kulhari, this time, doesn’t have to shed tears or be too serious and the refreshing change adds to her act. Bani J gets her act just right and the way she depicts her anxieties and confusion looks convincing. Kunaal Roy Kapur is a welcome addition and is quite entertaining. Dino Morea looks dashing and performance-wise, he’s first-rate. Rajeev Siddhartha has an arresting screen presence and does great. Prateik Babbar has limited screen time and he’s dependable. Anasuya Sengupta (Shai) has a beautiful smile and puts up a great act. Plabita Borthakur (Dubori) and Ayesha Kanga (Chandrika) lend able support. Niharika Lyra Dutt (Erica) gets to play a cool and unique character. Sadly, she’s there for just one scene. Lisa Ray and Milind Soman (Aamir) are fair in special appearances. Uorfi Javed (as herself), Manya Basu (Shonali Bose) and Neeraj Kabi (Nalin Dhodia) leave a huge mark in cameos. Shivika Rishi (Arya; Anjana's daughter), Sushant Singh (Rajan) and Simone Singh (Sneha Patel) are hardly there this time and they are okay. Shivam Anand is wasted.
Four More Shots Please! Season 4 music and other technical aspects:
Songs are catchy, especially 'Aaja Nacche Saheliyan' and 'Tu Kaint Hai Kudi'. The background score complements the overall mood of the show. Neha Parti Matiyani and Smita Nirmal's cinematography is breathtaking. However, the makers go overboard with the birds-eye’ view shots of Mumbai’s Coastal Road. Disha Dey's production design is rich. Asstha Sharma's costumes are very glamorous and enhance the beauty of the protagonists. Antara Lahiri's editing is appropriate.
Four More Shots Please! Season 4 Review Conclusion:
On the whole, FOUR MORE SHOTS PLEASE! SEASON 4 is a decent and satisfying farewell to the series. It’s shorter, lighter and more fun than the earlier seasons, and wraps up the four friends’ journeys in a fairly neat and feel-good manner. With a loyal fan base already in place, Season 4 should attract good viewership.
