He confirmed being in a relationship with Tamannaah Bhatia, putting an end to the long-standing speculations about their romance. As conversations about Vijay's relationship continue, the actor has now spoken about the familial pressure he is facing concerning his marriage plans.

Vijay Verma recently shared his experiences to DNA of being under pressure to marry, the actor said, “I am a Marwari. In our community, boys are considered of marriageable age at 16. So, all this began very early with me and also ended very early because I went past the marriageable age (laughs). On top of that, I had become an actor by then, so there was that too.”

The actor revealed that he has been facing this pressure from his mother. “My mother still asks me. On every phone call, she still asks me but I am just able to dodge it because I am doing well in my life,” he said.

Earlier, in an interview with Film Companion, Tamannaah had discussed her relationship with Vijay and said, “I don’t think you can get attracted to someone just because they are your co-star. I have had so many co-stars. I think if one has to fall for someone, feel something for someone it’s definitely more personal, it’s nothing to do with what they do for a living, I mean that’s not the reason why this would happen.”

Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma were frequently seen together in Mumbai following the emergence of a video showing them kissing at a New Year's party in Goa. Despite maintaining a low profile regarding their relationship and connection, the duo was frequently spotted together in Mumbai.

The duo recently shared screen space in Netflix series Lust Stories 2. This anthology film marked their first collaboration and is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, Konkona Sensharma, R Balki, and Sujoy Ghosh.

Vijay will be soon seen in Sujoy Ghosh's Devotion of Suspect X and Murder Mubarak opposite Sara Ali Khan.
