Actor Vicky Kaushal recently opened up about the joy of becoming a father, sharing that he plans to remain by wife Katrina Kaif’s side throughout her pregnancy. The Bollywood couple delighted fans when they confirmed they were expecting their first child in September, putting an end to months of speculation.

Vicky made the remarks during his appearance at the second edition of the Yuvaa Conclave in Mumbai, where he took part in a candid on-stage conversation with Nikhil Taneja. Speaking about this new phase of life, Vicky called fatherhood “a huge blessing” and said he was eagerly looking forward to the experience.

When asked what excites him most about becoming a father, Vicky smiled and responded simply, “Just being a dad.” He went on to say, “I am really looking forward to it… I think it is a huge blessing. Exciting times, almost there, so fingers crossed,” hinting that Katrina might be nearing her due date. He also added with a laugh, “Mujhe lag raha hai ke main ghar se hi nahi nikalne wala hun,” which translates to, “I don’t think I’ll be stepping out of the house.”

Family Shares the Joy

Earlier this month, Vicky’s brother Sunny Kaushal, who is set to become a first-time uncle, also spoke about the family’s happiness. During a brief interaction with the media at an event in Mumbai, Sunny told Instant Bollywood, “Khushkhabri hai aur sabko badi khushi hai (It’s happy news and everyone is delighted). Nervous bhi hain sab ki aage jaake kya hoga (We’re also nervous about what lies ahead), so we are just waiting for that day to come.”

Vicky and Katrina’s Pregnancy Announcement

In September, Vicky and Katrina made their pregnancy official by sharing a heartfelt post on Instagram. The couple posted a black-and-white Polaroid photo, in which Katrina, visibly pregnant, smiled gently while looking down at her baby bump. Vicky stood close, resting his head against hers and cradling the bump. They captioned the photo: “On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude.”The announcement was warmly received by fans and the film industry alike.

A New Chapter for the Couple

Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, who tied the knot in a private ceremony at Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan in December 2021, have remained one of Bollywood’s most admired couples. Though they have never acted together in a film, their real-life chemistry has kept fans invested in their journey.

As they prepare to welcome their first child, both Vicky and Katrina appear to be embracing this new chapter with gratitude and joy.
