Taha Shah Badussha gets real about masculinity, self-growth, and love as he turns 38: “Definition of a man has changed”

en Bollywood News Taha Shah Badussha gets real about masculinity, self-growth, and love as he turns 38: “Definition of a man has changed”

The ever-charming Taha Shah Badussha is celebrating his birthday today, and in a recent interview, the actor says this birthday feels noticeably different from all the others he has celebrated so far. “Previous years, it has always been about the career, but this year, it’s not just about the work; it's about self-growth, self-awareness, and connecting with my inner self and the universe,” he reflects. This time, he has chosen to keep the day intimate, surrounded only by those who matter most. “It's all about keeping the right people next to you instead of more people,” Taha shares, emphasising his shift toward a more mindful, grounded approach to life.

In a beautiful coincidence, his birthday aligns with International Men’s Day, an occasion that prompts him to introspect on how the idea of manhood has evolved across generations. “There used to be a lot of hard-core men, especially in the decades after the partition, shaped by the times they lived in. Then came the 2000s, where boys transitioned into men with new experiences,” he explains. “But today’s generation is open, fluid, and evolving. The definition of a man has changed. For me, a man is someone with integrity, patient, calm, and devoted.”

This evolution, he believes, is not just real-life but also reflected on screen. Taha feels audiences today are drawn to men who embrace their softness, not those defined solely by alpha energy. His own turn in Heeramandi stands as proof. “People are craving romance again, something tender, something they can fall in love with. There has been too much intensity and violence in recent content. The success of Heeramandi and Saiyaara shows that love is rare today, and people want to feel it.”

Taha strongly advocates for the emotional vulnerability of men in modern times a quality once discouraged. “I don't think a man should distance himself from his vulnerable side,” he says. “You need to be in touch with it and manage it, not suppress it. In today’s world, you have to be both strong and vulnerable to survive.”

He believes men today are more emotionally available than previous generations, though they still have lessons to learn. “Our fathers and grandfathers had patience and impulse control. They didn’t have the distractions we do. We could learn from that,” he notes. As advice to men everywhere, he emphasises the power of emotional awareness. “It’s important that we stay connected to our emotions. Otherwise, how will we communicate or guide the younger generation?”

With a year ahead filled with deeper meaning and mindful living, Taha Shah Badussha steps into 38 embracing growth, vulnerability, and the evolving spirit of modern manhood on-screen and off.
