Actor Irrfan Khan, critically acclaimed in both Indian and international cinema, passed away on Wednesday, April 29 in Mumbai. For several years, he was battling a neuroendocrine tumour. He passed away at the age of 54.
Internationally, Irrfan Khan worked with actors like Tom Hanks, Andrew Garfield, Chris Pratt among others. Star Wars actor Riz Ahmed paid tribute to the late actor. "Rest in peace one of the greatest actors of our time, Irrfan Khan. I never met him but he was an inspiration and a hero to me and millions of others. His work was consistently transcendent, he was a guiding light for so many of us. If you've not seen his work, watch The Lunchbox or The Warrior. Filmmaker Ava DuVernay also took to her social media to remember his charisma on screen. "A grateful fan of #IrrfanKhan here. Gone too soon. When he is on screen, you can’t take your eyes off of him. He lives on in his films," she wrote.

His international work includes movies like Jurassic World, Inferno, Life Of Pi, Slumdog Millionaire, The Amazing Spiderman, Puzzle among others.
