However, it was host Sonam Kapoor Ahuja who decided to share a special post dedicated to the legendary football player at the end and earlier today, she took to the platform to post photos and express gratitude.

On November 17, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja took to Instagram to share details of the special bash she hosted along with husband Anand Ahuja on November 15 for David Beckham. The bash was attended by her entire family including her cousins as well as her few close friends from the industry. In her recent post, she shared a few beautiful moments from the bash and along with that, in her note she wrote, “It was such a pleasure showing you a small taste of India @davidbeckham. Hope you loved India as much as India loves you!” She also expressed gratitude towards everyone who helped her in this bash and of course, she also extended it to her close family adding, “Thank you to my team that’s helped me put it together. Thank you to some of the best in India. Special thanks to my forever constants mama and masi”.

For the unversed, David Beckham was in India as the UNICEF ambassador and also attended the India vs New Zealand match in the city. The football player later met Bollywood celebrities like the newly married Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani at the match, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Anil Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Shahid Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, among others during his recent visit. His final pit stop was at the palatial Mannat where the megastar Shah Rukh Khan also hosted a private bash for the global sports icon, before he took off to England.
