Sohum Shah reveals, “I asked Reema Kagti to make me a vardi wala cop in Dahaad” : Bollywood News

Amazon Prime Video’s recently released web series Dahaad is about an unusual serial killer who kills women after luring them to marry him. The show, which is directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, sees Sonakshi Sinha’s character of a young and determined cop taking it upon herself to nab the culprit, while getting timely help from her senior, played by Gulshan Devaiah.

Sohum Shah reveals, “I asked Reema Kagti to make me a vardi wala cop in Dahaad”

The team of cops also has Sohum Shah play an important character. The actor is looking pleasant in the cop uniform. But not many would know that it was Shah himself who requested Reema Kagti to let his character wear the khakee uniform.

Sharing the incident, Sohum told the news agency IANS, “I play a cop in this series. I had played a CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) cop in Talvar, but this time I asked Reema Kagti to make me a vardi wala cop in the series… Yaar is baar toh uniform pehanane ko mile (at least this time I should get to play a cop in uniform)!”

Sohum said that the fact that he is from a small town of Sri Ganganagar helped him prepare for his character. “I think writing is a very difficult job. As actors, we rely on good stories to enhance our performance. A well-written character allows you to deliver your best effort. We, actors, bring our personalities and life experiences to the characters we play. Fortunately, I am from a tiny town, which really aided my success in this series,” he said.
