Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar continues to draw praise from across the film industry as the spy thriller maintains its strong box office run. The latest to applaud the film is Shraddha Kapoor, who not only lauded its cinematic impact but also pointed out how it emerged successful despite facing negative publicity and manufactured controversies during its release phase.

On Monday, Shraddha took to Instagram to share her reaction to the film. Posting a series of stories, she first wrote, “Truly terrible of Aditya Dhar to make a film like Dhurandhar,” before adding in the next slide, “and then make us wait three months for Part 2. Don’t play with our emotions, prepone the release please. What a phenomenal experience. Subah shoot nahi hoti toh kasam se abhi hi dobara dekhne jaati.” She also grouped the film with other major releases of the year, writing, “Chhaava, Saiyaara, Dhurandhar — all in 2025 Hindi cinema.”
Shraddha further addressed the controversies surrounding the film, writing that despite facing what she described as “rampant negative PR machinery” and manufactured issues — earlier flagged by Yami Gautam — Dhurandhar managed to win audience trust. “No bad force can pull a good film down. In audiences, we trust,” she wrote. Aditya Dhar's wife and actress Yami Gautam responded by expressing her gratitude and sending love to the actor for her public support.

Dhurandhar is inspired by real-life incidents and follows the story of an Indian spy who infiltrates Rehman Dakait’s gang in Lyari, Pakistan. The mission goes beyond dismantling the criminal network, as the spy also feeds crucial intelligence to RAW about the gang’s links with the ISI in an effort to curb terrorism.
The film features Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt and R Madhavan in leading roles, with Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi and Danish Pandor appearing in key supporting parts. In just ten days, Dhurandhar has crossed the ₹500 crore mark worldwide and continues to perform strongly at the box office.
The sequel to Dhurandhar is slated for release on March 19, 2026, where it is set to clash with Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for the Grown-Ups.
