An Instagram page recently shared the video, captioning it, “When friendship turns into family, SRK did Farah Khan’s kanyadaan” and adding, “This old moment is going viral and we are loving every bit of it.” The video shows a pandit guiding Shah Rukh as he completes the ritual, after which he hugs Farah and kisses her on the cheek. Other candid moments from the wedding are also featured.
Farah responded to the post with surprise, writing, “Oh my god, where did you find this??” Fans flooded the comments, some pointing out that the clip was from her interview with Simi Garewal, while others praised the touching gesture. One fan wrote, “Shah Rukh Khan Sir and Gauri Khan Mam are really a family for Farah Mam. They are always there for each other,” while another added, “No nazaar for their friendship.”
Decades-Long Friendship
Farah and Shah Rukh’s friendship spans more than three decades, dating back to the 1990s before the releases of Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa and Deewana. Shah Rukh also acted in several of Farah’s directorials, including Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Happy New Year.
Farah married Shirish Kunder in 2004 after meeting him on the sets of Main Hoon Na. The couple welcomed triplets—son Czar and daughters Diva and Anya—in 2008.
