Social media users, including those on Reddit, have been buzzing about Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor appearing together in a new advertisement. Many viewers were surprised to see the trio revisiting some of their most popular on-screen personas, and several also wondered about the large budget behind the star-studded campaign.

In the advertisement for Rungta Steels, Shah Rukh Khan stepped back into the look of Vikram Rathore from Jawan, complete with his signature grey hair. Ranbir Kapoor appeared in a style reminiscent of his character from Brahmastra, while Alia Bhatt brought back the confident charm of Rani from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the ad opens with Ranbir landing a punch on Shah Rukh’s face, while joking, “Sar bachaake, Vikram Rathore. Kahin phir se na bhool jaao aap kaun ho,” referring to Shah Rukh’s Jawan character.

Shah Rukh responds with a playful comment about Ranbir’s fiery powers, leading the two into a dramatic, exaggerated fight sequence. As the action escalates, Alia enters as Rani and stops them before they cause damage in her kitchen. The advertisement ends with both actors asking where they should continue their fight, and Alia pointing them toward a sturdy pillar that “won’t break.”

Online reactions quickly poured in. Many users felt the ad was more entertaining than several recent films, while others joked about the apparent production cost. Comments ranged from playful speculation—such as Alia and Ranbir doing the ad to get a discount on steel for their new home—to viewers asking how the brand could afford such a cast. Some questioned who would buy steel rods based on such an advertisement, while others praised the action choreography, noting that it looked more convincing than what many feature films offered. A few users even said they wanted a full movie starring the trio, calling the ad a “treat” and praising its production quality.

As for their upcoming projects, Shah Rukh Khan is set to appear in King, directed by Siddharth Anand and backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. The first look was released on his birthday last month, and the film is expected to arrive in 2026. Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Alpha, an action thriller directed by Shiv Rawail, where she plays a commanding officer in an elite all-women combat unit alongside Sharvari. She will also share the screen with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, a period romantic drama.
