Sargun Mehta reflects on casting Ankit Gupta in Udaariyan; says, “We were not agreeing with it till the last minute” : Bollywood News

Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey's debut show as producers, Udaariyaan, is currently airing on Colours. The drama has taken a fresh turn with actresses Shreya Patni, Avinesh Rekhi, and Aditi Bhagat arriving in the key parts. As PinkVilla reached out to Mehta to discuss the next chapter in Udaariyaan, they questioned the boss woman about the decisions she made for the show, which turned out to be beneficial to the production.

Sargun Mehta recalled hiring Ankit Gupta while discussing the uncertain decisions that worked beautifully for Udaariyaan. She said, “Specifically, I guess Ankit was the casting that we were not agreeing with till the last minute. In fact, the night before it, we had chosen somebody else and finalized another actor. And it was only in the morning that we decided to take Ankit instead. I'm really very happy that we chose him.”

Apart from Ankit Gupta's casting, Sargun Mehta was unsure about shooting in Chandigarh. For the uninformed, all of Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta's Dreamiyata productions are shot in Chandigarh.

Talking about the same, Sargun added, "I think coming to Chandigarh was one decision that I wasn't really sure about. I mean, I wanted to do it, but I didn't know how things would work out. But I think it has been one of the best decisions that I have taken for our shows and production house as a whole."

Udaariyaan debuted with Ankit Gupta, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, and Isha Malviya as Fateh, Tejo, and Jasmine.
