The Bhatt family is rejoicing today as Mahesh Bhatt is returning to direction after 23 years with Sadak 2. Not only that, it is the filmmaker's 70th birthday today which he is celebrating with the family. On the occasion of his birthday, all of his daughters - Alia Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt - share some beautiful memories of their daddy with heartfelt messages.

Alia Bhatt shared a lovely note along with her father's photo which read, "Dear Daddy, On your 70th Birthday you have given me the greatest present I could ask and dream for. You are directing me! Sadak 2 is a dream come true.. What I thought will never be possible you have made possible. Thank you daddy from the bottom of my heart, soul and bones. This will be a journey of discovery.. Of life, movies, feeling and most of all.. Of a father and daughter. I love you my not-so-old man! Happy Birthday ????."

Shaheen Bhatt remembered the times when she used to visit the sets of the films her father was making. Sharing the news of Sadak 2 announcement, she wrote, "Some of my oldest memories of my father are memories of him on a film set. Even as a child I marvelled at how incredibly comfortable he was amongst the snaking wires, towering lights and various bits of camera equipment that litter every film set. When he gave up directing movies 20 years he wasn’t just giving up directing movies, he was also leaving behind his home. Now, 20 year later on his 70th birthday - my father is finally going back home. SADAK 2. A Mahesh Bhatt film."

Pooja Bhatt, the oldest one of the Bhatt family, took a different route and had begun a countdown a week ago for Mahesh Bhatt's 70th birthday. She shared a series of pictures from their childhood photo album which she absolutely loves and adores. Those days, black and white images and memories, Pooja reminisced that throughout the week.

As the daughters are celebrating their father's 70th birthday, Sadak 2 will be the first time Mahesh Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt and Alia Bhatt will be working together. The film is set for March 25, 2020 release.
