Rashmika Mandanna, who starred alongside Salman Khan in the 2025 actioner Sikandar, recently opened up about her experience of working on the film and how the script evolved during production. In an interview with Telugu journalist Prema, the actress revealed that director A. R. Murugadoss made several changes to the original script as filming progressed.
“I remember talking to Murugadoss sir, of course, later what happened was very different. But when I heard the script, it was indeed quite a different script,” Mandanna said. She explained that such changes are common in filmmaking, often influenced by actor performances, editing decisions, or release timing. “Things change, and that is very common. So that happened with Sikandar,” she added.
Reflecting on her role, Mandanna described working with Salman Khan as “nerve-wracking,” noting that while her previous Hindi films focused more on performance-driven screenplays, this was her first time taking on a full-fledged commercial Bollywood heroine role. “That is the first commercial Bollywood film that I will be doing, and I have never done it. I am really excited,” she said. She also emphasized that she does not want to be typecast and aims to balance both performance-oriented and commercial projects.
On the professional front, Rashmika is slated to appear in Cocktail 2. On the personal side, she is reportedly set to marry South superstar Vijay Deverakonda on February 26, 2026, at a palace in Udaipur in an intimate ceremony with family and close friends.
