Rani Mukerji on marriage, “You need to shock your partner every day” : Bollywood News

Filmmaker and producer Aditya Chopra and actress Rani Mukerji are known as one of the most famous couples from Indian cinema. The two tied the knot in 2014 in Italy, away from the regular limelight of those typical Bollywood weddings. But whatever is known about their married life is only through Rani since Chopra prefers staying away from the media.

In a chat with Film Companion, Rani has said that a person needs to ‘shock’ his or her spouse daily and this is what she follows in her married life with Chopra. “I think the best thing about a relationship is that you need to shock your partner every day. And I shock Adi every day. Every day he sees a new me. Bechara (poor guy), he’s simple. It’s boring to be simple. He tells me that for him, it’s like putting on a new channel every day. One day it’s comedy, one day it’s drama, one day it’s violence. One day it’s romance, of course,” said the actress.

It has been said on various occasions that Aditya Chopra is a keen watcher of all new movies. Rani said, in the same interview, that they have kept the tradition alive even today. But since some time, they prefer watching movies inside the Yash Raj Films Studio in Mumbai as she gets noticed. She said that Chopra loves watching movies at Mumbai’s iconic Gaiety Galaxy cinemas but now people have started noticing him too after his appearance in the Netflix documentary The Romantics.

But Rani and Chopra do get to watch movies together when they are abroad. “But when we’re outside India, we go everywhere. It’s lovely to hold hands and go, it’s quite nice,” she added.

On the work front, Rani was last seen in Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, which turned out to be successful at the box office. Chopra’s next production under his banner Yash Raj Films is the Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar starrer The Great Indian Family. The film is slated to release in theatres on September 22.
