In light of the recent controversies surrounding the Marakkuma Nenjam concert featuring music maestro A. R. Rahman, ACTC Events, the organisers, have stepped forward to issue a formal and unconditional apology to all affected attendees. The concert, held at East Coast Road in Chennai, reportedly left numerous fans disappointed due to logistical issues and overcrowding.

Hemanth Raja, the founder and CEO of ACTC Events, personally addressed the situation in a selfie video posted on Instagram. He expressed sincere regrets to those who faced difficulties, emphasising their commitment to ensuring an unforgettable evening of Rahman's music.

He stated, "Our goal was to guarantee an unforgettable night of Rahman sir’s songs for his fans. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, many couldn’t access the venue. We accept full responsibility for this and are accountable."

Raja also commended A R Rahman for his unwavering dedication to delivering a memorable performance and clarified that Rahman had no involvement in the logistical aspects of the event. He expressed disappointment over the tendency to single out the composer on social media and urged people not to hold him accountable, asserting, "Please refrain from holding him accountable; we are solely responsible for this."

Addressing concerns of ticket overselling, Raja clarified that they did not oversell tickets but attributed the issues to ticket duplication and overcrowding. He reassured ticket holders who were unable to attend the concert that they would receive refunds upon contacting ACTC Events with the necessary details.

Concluding his video message, the CEO extended gratitude to A. R. Rahman for his performance and urged everyone to refrain from placing blame on the legendary musician for any issues related to the event.

The controversy arose when thousands of fans were reportedly stranded outside the concert venue due to mismanagement of entry points and overcrowding, leaving many who had invested significantly in tickets unable to attend the event.
